Jamie Eason Live Fit Challenge – Week 7 Update

2

Prioritize your Time!

Soooooooo…..this post is long over due! About 2 weeks over due to be exact. I promise, I am still committed to this Challenge. However, sometimes the best thing you can do in life is to take a step back, get quiet and listen to your heart.

2014 has been pretty busy and its only the second week in February!  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining at all. Birthdays, New Job, New Babies…all wonderful things to be excited about. And then theres death. Recently, we lost my Uncle to cancer. It all happened so fast, and I’m sure my Aunt and Cousin would agree that it all happened way too fast. Which brings me to my first point. Time.

A few months ago, my family came together to celebrate the birth and baptism of two new additions to our family. It was during this celebration that I had the opportunity to sit and talk with my Uncle. Now, we have talked in the past but not like this. Thinking back now, it was all so coincidental. Too bad I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe everything happens for a reason and I do mean everything! I also believe that life is one big classroom and that the experiences that we have are constantly teaching us lessons that are specifically designed and catered to our individual needs. That’s why you have to pay attention to your life. Don’t just walk around and let life happen to you. Stay awake, stay alert because I guarantee you that in some way, shape or fashion, your life is speaking to you. The caveat is that you must be prepared to listen!

Ok…small tangent but it was worth it. The conversation with my Uncle was basically one big trip for him down memory lane. He laughed as he told stories of his younger days and how things used to be.  As he spoke, I could see how much joy these memories actually brought him and maybe how distant that joy was now. Time. There will never be enough hours in a day or years in our lives.

Which brings me to my second point. Priorities.

I will be the first to admit that I tend to get my priorities mixed up and lose all sense of balance in life. I know I’m not alone when I say that I feel like I am always going…always running…always challenging…always surviving. I realize that I am so used to being “on” that I don’t even know when its ok to be “off.” Life is meant to be enjoyed. Theres no need for me (or any of us) to be in constant battle to be better, thinner, stronger, smarter…you get the point. We all have to learn when to STOP and just take a moment to BREATHE. Priorities.

So, there you have it; it took two weeks to draft this post not because I needed more time but because I AM LEARNING HOW TO PRIORITIZE MY TIME…slowly but surely!

Week 6 Done!

Let me explain. Technically, I am on Week 9 and this should be a review of Week 8 on the Jamie Eason Live Fit Challenge. But I wanted to remain true to my word and even though I have continued to work out and eat clean, I haven’t blogged in two weeks, so I made the decision to repeat those weeks for the sake of this blog.

I really can’t believe I’m halfway through the Live Fit Challenge! I gotta tell you, I’m feeling pretty good right now. Strong, Focused and Determined! I am definitely starting to see some progress, especially in the way my clothes are fitting 🙂 Whoooo hoooooooo!!!!!!

It’s so important to celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small! 1 pound, 5 pounds, 2 inches or 2 dress sizes – progress is progress! This is not a temporary, quick fix weight loss program for me.  I am working to lose real weight, the right way, and that takes time! That’s why I want to share my 6 -week progress pics because real change, real weight loss, real fat loss, doesn’t just happen over night. It takes time people…so DON’T QUIT – rest if you must, but DON’T QUIT!!!!!!1 2

These pics were actually taken a few weeks ago 🙂

Alright folks, have a Blessed Weekend and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I also want to give a special birthday shout-out to my BFF ANGIE who was born on Valentines Day! Here’s to a Blessed, Abundant, Dream Fulfilled, Goal Achieving, Spiritually Led and sheer Joyful Year!

I love You and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Shay, I’ve always been inspired by you since we were kids. Keep striving and being an example for others and God will continue blessing you and using you for His glory. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. We’ve celebrated like 20 birthdays together. One thing never changes–I’m still the youngest! Hahahaha. Love you dearly!
